I think my kids are on Snow Day 365, too. Goodness, gracious. We're all so tired of snow and ice. HOWEVER, I am grateful our forecast was a little (okay, a LOT) off for our area. Surrounding areas got anywhere from 1 to 2 feet of snow. Drifts are making 5 to 6 feet of snow in some spots. I'm GLAD I'm not there! Snow days cause us all to slow down, and that's kind of nice. But the cloud covers and lack of sunshine do tend to get a little weary at times.
The birds don't seem to mind. We spotted this little guy yesterday morning. The picture isn't very clear. He was outside our screened-in porch. So as not to disturb him, I took the pictures from inside rather than opening my squeaky back porch door and scaring him away. I think the screen actually adds a slight texture that's kind of cool, in fact. :) And I love the buds on the tree, covered in ice. In just a few weeks, those buds will bloom into beautiful, white blossoms. It doesn't seem like it now, but spring isn't THAT far away.
I've decided no 365 for this year. I'll just update when I feel like it. Maybe I'll start a new project for 2012. In the meantime, no schedule. That's more my speed anyway. Ha! :) So, for those of you who check in, all five of you, you can keep on checking. I'll pop in now and again, I promise. :)
