I've pondered and I've planned. My husband's response would be, "Uh oh, that's never good." :) I've wondered how I should attack this project. 365 pictures. 1 a day for an entire year. Should I have a theme? Should it be artsy? Should it be technical? What's the point, and does anyone really care? I will admit, that I truly appreciate organization and structure, HOWEVER, by nature, I tend to be overwhelmed by my own randomness. So until I change my mind, for now, the ONLY plan is 1 photograph, every day, for 365 days. That is structure enough! It may be of whatever strikes me that day, and it may be something I've crammed in at 11:59 because my day has just been too hectic to think about such nonsense! Haha! As for whether or not anyone cares... well, I figure I've done plenty of OTHER things solely for the purpose of my own entertainment, so why stop now? So it is written; so it shall be done! (That's from the King and I, in case anyone who is possibly reading this wondered!) Here goes:
Day 1
I've made a couple of purchases I'm excited about this weekend. I will tell you that it doesn't take much to completely enthrall me. I am a stay-at-home mommy of 3 little ones, and like most any other mom/wife, household products are something I can become VERY passionate about (pro or con). And I discovered a NEW one. Well, my mom told me about it, but last night I discovered it for myself... and here it is:
Yes, this is the monumental photo I've chosen for my very first day. For those of you who CARE about having shiny floors, well, you understand exactly WHAT a big deal this is. This dandy, little product can be purchased at WalMart for less than $5.00. I sampled it last night, and I am actually looking FORWARD to carving some time out this week to use it on every floor in my home where there is no carpet. It will provide GREAT satisfaction for me! Happy Sunday!

Getting Into Practice
Since I've had it on my mind, I can't get it OFF! I keep thinking to myself, "That could be my picture of the day..." Well, I might as well do a couple of practice runs before the real deal begins on February 1st.
This is the LAST carton of peppermint icecream for the season. This is a household tradition, starting back when I was a kid myself. :) My boys ALL love it, and it only comes around during the holidays! (However, I did recently discover that Oberweiss plans to offer their version year round... One might assume that theirs is better, but it just didn't compare to the old fashion Edy's. :) Til next season!

IF...
365 Photo Challenge
I started a blog, and I've made one solitary post. Ugh. My initial purpose was to use this in connection with my photography business. That will still be my goal, but I've recently been intrigued by this "take a photo a day for a year" concept. You see, I LOVE taking pictures. I do it OFTEN. This would give me a fun way to learn more, get creative, and fill my NEED to take pictures even when it's cold outside, business is slow, and I am ACHING to take a picture and make it pretty. :) If I write that I'm going to do it, maybe I'll stick with it. So, as of February 1st, I'll begin my challenge. Let's see where it goes!!!

Starting off 2010
I've played around with the idea of starting a blog. Looks like there may be slightly more involved with it than I thought... at least to make it what I WANT it to be. All in due time. For now, we're starting off simple, and we'll see where it goes!
I had my first session of the year on Sunday, and it was an absolute pleasure! This sweet couple is in our new church small group, so they're new friends. What a delight it was to sit and chat with them as I helped them mark the memory of their very first pregnancy! Here are a few proofs from that session:
