Day 24. End of Winter, Day 3.

I took a little walk around my back yard.  My hope was to find some small glimpse of life again.  Anything GREEN (aside from anything that is pine or holly, because that stays green all year).  I really didn't find much.  And it's still so cold!  Grrr.  I did find these tiny, new beginnings of buds on our dogwood tree.  I think it's the dogwood.  I'm not very good at this sort of thing, but I know in the spring, this tree will blossom beautiful, delicate white flowers.  The other one is a red bud, which I also don't understand, because the flowers are purple, and I say it should be called a purple bud... which my husband laughs at annually.  You might notice the white, blurry speck in the sky in the background.  That's the moon.  Cool, huh?  :)
