Day 29. Weekend Review.

We had a fun, full weekend.  These photos were taken over the course of two days, but oh well!  Why start being particular now?  :)

We went out with some friends and this was my dinner.  I only had my hubby's iphone at my fingertips, so ya get what ya get!  Doesn't that taco salad just look divine?  It tasted as good as it looks, too, although I only ate about half of it!
This was my first attempt at a Pioneer Woman recipe.  My mom has traditionally cooked potroast for Sunday lunch after church, for YEARS!  And I love it!  But I've never cooked it myself... mainly because it's really not the first pick of my sweet husband.  But he IS a fan of Pioneer Woman, however (I'm pretty sure he has a slight crush on her... but anyway), so I thought I would give her little recipe a try.  I revised it since I didn't have her exact recommended spices, and she also said to put it in a dutch oven and bake it.  I used a crockpot, which has worked great for my mom, so why NOT?  This photo was taken when I put all of it first in.  It got eaten too quickly to get a snapshot of the finished product.  Everyone loved it!  Yay!  My kids even took leftovers in their lunches to school!  Haha!

Oh, please don't tell all of my little friends who sell these delicious, little treats... but I bought these from an unknown source, who was selling them outside of WalMart!  I couldn't pass them up, AND the sweet girl complimented me on my haircut, so I bought four boxes!  :)  Needless to say, we tore into them as soon as we got home yesterday afternoon.

Another exciting event of the weekend.  Middle Child lost another tooth.  How precious is that smile?

I had to share this photo as well.  This was taken by my little guy, all ON HIS OWN.  He wanted to take a picture of these, because his sweet, little friend gave one to him and his little brother this weekend.  I have no idea why, but he thought it would be fun to take a picture of them (takes after his mamma, I suppose).  I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of his work!  I didn't edit this pic at all.  This is exactly how he took it.  Great job, Buddy!

P.S.  Yes, I am fully aware that I overuse the word "little."  Can't seem to break myself of the habit!  Ugh!
