Days 37, 38, and 39.

Well, my A.D.D. has kicked in, and I guess I'm kind of bored with this project.  I'm trying not to become unmotivated, because I'm afraid of letting it fall through the cracks.  I don't WANT that to happen at all!  So, forgive me, if I'm not very faithful about legitimately posting DAILY.  Here are three photos to catch me up... AGAIN:

Loving the warm weather.  :)

Seeds!

Our blue skies, that were supposed to be gray and pouring out with rain today.  I'm thankful they are not!

Days 34, 35, and 36. Catching Up!

Making a Ding Dong cake.  Ever had one?  Not my favorite, but my kids think it's AWESOME!

More imagination.  :)  A tent/fort built for stuffed animals, of course!

A gift to my child from their uncle (my brother).  Provided much entertainment this morning as Grandma and Mommy tried to give their assistance.  Yeah... that didn't work out so well.  Had to wait for Dad to come home!  Haha!

Day 33. Cozy, Part 2.

Yeah, I guess I'm probably overdoing the dog photos... but how can this image NOT make you chuckle?  Our silly little Mandy Girl.  :)

Day 32. Cozy.

This is our forty pound puppy who thinks she's a lapdog.  My husband was sitting in the floor this way, and she hopped into his lap, and tucked all her legs in, all nice and cozy.  She's such a mess.

Snug as a bug!

Day 31. Cookies.

Aunt Lisa's chocolate chip cookie recipe.  Yummy!  One of my kids' favorites!

Day 30. Memories.

This car is a beauty, isn't it?  Haha!  Well, it was stylish and sporty in its day.  :)  This is a 1994 Dodge Shadow ES.  It is the first (and only) brand new car my father ever owned.  He was quite proud of this car at one time.  (He has since moved on to bigger and better things!)  He gave this one to my sister for a time, and since then, she moved on as well, so it's back with my parents.  Dad uses it to go to work to save miles on his nice car.  It does the job nicely.  Anyway, my parents were kind enough to loan it to us for a few days, because my husband needs a "go to work" car while my brother valiantly attempts to revive our truck.  The other day, our trusty old truck broke down on the highway, and come to find out, it's going to need its engine rebuilt.  UGH.  I have to remind myself that without cars, walking everywhere would certainly be a nuissance.  But cars can be SUCH a pain!!!  Grrrr.

Back to the Shadow... Dad bought this in my later highschool years, and looking back, I'm in awe that he ever let me borrow it from time to time.  You see, cars are one of my dad's "things."  Everyone has things they're particular about, and I could name few that my dad is more particular about than his cars.  The fact that this was his first/only NEW vehicle, and that he allowed his flighty, teenage daughter to drive it around the neighborhood, is quite sweet to me now.  I'm certain I didn't fully appreciate it back then.  It had to have taken everything in him to hand over those keys!  But he did.  :)  And I thought I was so cool!  (Come on!  It was 1994.  It beat driving around in the old station wagon!  Sheesh!)  It is quite comical to me now, that my husband will be driving this to work in the morning.  Hee, hee!  :)

Day 29. Weekend Review.

We had a fun, full weekend.  These photos were taken over the course of two days, but oh well!  Why start being particular now?  :)

We went out with some friends and this was my dinner.  I only had my hubby's iphone at my fingertips, so ya get what ya get!  Doesn't that taco salad just look divine?  It tasted as good as it looks, too, although I only ate about half of it!
This was my first attempt at a Pioneer Woman recipe.  My mom has traditionally cooked potroast for Sunday lunch after church, for YEARS!  And I love it!  But I've never cooked it myself... mainly because it's really not the first pick of my sweet husband.  But he IS a fan of Pioneer Woman, however (I'm pretty sure he has a slight crush on her... but anyway), so I thought I would give her little recipe a try.  I revised it since I didn't have her exact recommended spices, and she also said to put it in a dutch oven and bake it.  I used a crockpot, which has worked great for my mom, so why NOT?  This photo was taken when I put all of it first in.  It got eaten too quickly to get a snapshot of the finished product.  Everyone loved it!  Yay!  My kids even took leftovers in their lunches to school!  Haha!

Oh, please don't tell all of my little friends who sell these delicious, little treats... but I bought these from an unknown source, who was selling them outside of WalMart!  I couldn't pass them up, AND the sweet girl complimented me on my haircut, so I bought four boxes!  :)  Needless to say, we tore into them as soon as we got home yesterday afternoon.

Another exciting event of the weekend.  Middle Child lost another tooth.  How precious is that smile?

I had to share this photo as well.  This was taken by my little guy, all ON HIS OWN.  He wanted to take a picture of these, because his sweet, little friend gave one to him and his little brother this weekend.  I have no idea why, but he thought it would be fun to take a picture of them (takes after his mamma, I suppose).  I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of his work!  I didn't edit this pic at all.  This is exactly how he took it.  Great job, Buddy!

P.S.  Yes, I am fully aware that I overuse the word "little."  Can't seem to break myself of the habit!  Ugh!
