Day 99. Mother's Day.

The girls.  :)  Of course, it's fun that I get to celebrate Mother's Day, but truly, I see it more as a celebration of the female influence all around.  My children are blessed to have several women in their lives who love them, teach them, and set good examples for them.  Their aunts, their grandmothers, and several of our friends are all very influential in their lives.  I'm very thankful for those special ladies!

This would be my handsome hubby, and his wonderful mother.

Happy Mother's DAY!!!!!!

Day 98. Mother's Day Creations.

This is the kind of thing Mother's Day is all about.  :)  Personal, homemade creations by your kiddos.  Precious.

Gotta love this.  :)

Day 95. Batwings.

Allow me to introduce to you the BATWINGS.  This is one of my favorite toys in the house.  Why, you may ask?  ...because it speaks volumes.  On my son's fourth birthday, I sent my husband to buy his birthday gift.  I had nothing specific in mind (which is unusual), so I left it all up to the dad this time.  He came home with these.  :)  It's SO a dad gift.  The boys love them.  What little boy doesn't want to be a super hero?

When you are a super hero, you have WINGS!  This is the mid stage.

And this is at full span.

This is how a super hero flies, of course.

Then my son crushed our moment of imagination (on about the 10th picture) and said, "What's the big deal, Mom?  It's not like I'm REALLY Batman.  I'm just a regular kid with wings!!!"

This is a completely different story.  Never mind Goofball the Great.  She was born without a brain.  (And never mind the fact that I just gave her a bath YESTERDAY!)  Ugh.

Day 94. Banana Bread.

I made my first loaf of banana bread.  It looks better than it tastes.  Oh well.  Try, try again. :P

Day 93. Butterfly.

Hmmm, could this be our little caterpillar friend from last week?  Well, probably not, BUT I'm choosing to believe he came from the same family.  That's what my son thinks, so we're going to go with it.  We were having fun, chasing him around the back yard, to see just how close we could stare at him before he would flutter away.
