The Garage Floor? WHO KNEW?

So, I had to park my van out on our driveway yesterday after picking the boys up from school.  My oldest was getting ready to take out the mower, so he needed the space.  Easy enough.  That side of the house has great lighting at just about any time of the day, and as I was examining our dirty garage floor in the sunlight, a thought occurred to me:  This would probably make a GREAT backdrop for headshots!  Why have I never thought of that before?  So, I grabbed my camera, adjusted the settings, and handed it to my 2nd born.  With a few simple instructions on where to stand (to avoid getting the background of the garage contents rather than the floor), he was good to go.  Check it out!  Would you ever guess that I'm sitting on our dirty garage floor?  HAHAAA!

Photography is an outlet for me.  Sure, it's nice to make a little extra $ on the side with it, but it's really so much more than that.  It's a place to express my creativity and let my imagination have some fun.  :)  It's good for me!  Spending a few hours with my friend, Staci, yesterday was downright therapeutic.  We enjoyed the gorgeous weather, had a bite to eat, and walked around.  My camera was kind of just a side note... but what a GREAT result for just a side note!  One of Staci's friends posted on FB:  "SUCH GREAT SHOTS!!! Every woman needs some of those!!"   I couldn't agree more.  It's so fun to embrace our girliness... femininity... sexiness... You name it, ENJOY IT.
